Johhny Toler, is replacing Bob Wilkinson as head of the purchasing department after Wilkinson’s resignation which is effective immediately.
“Bob’s abilities will be greatly missed at the hospital, but I know that Johhny Toler is a person we can all depend on to do whatever is necessary to keep is department going,” Hospital administrator Harry Illscott said. “I have great faith in him and the hospital.”
Wilkinson graduated from the State University’s school of hospital administration in 1972 and came to Mountain East Medical Center in 1975 after he worked for a small rural community hospital. Wilkinson will take a job as purchasing agent with City Memorial Hospital.
Toler gave the following statement about his new position: “This hospital means a great deal to me and my family, and I will give my best efforts to making our purchasing department the best. I learned from a fine man, Bob Wilkinson, and I hope I can continue to build on the foundation he estabished.”
Toler started as an assistant druggist in the hospital parmacy 13 years ago and was moved to the purchasing department in 1978 as an assistant after the pharmacy closed.
